I am often asked about how do I decide on each piece for the collections to be imaged.

Interestingly when I first started out I had a friend who would style my shoots for me with my input or guide me on what tops to get and help me pick out jewelry.  When she thought I could fly on my own she put me in the position to do that and I was just terrified!

There are so many things that we are able to do but don't have the confidence, or feel afraid to do it. Styling my entire shoot was that for me but there I was 3 years ago having do just that.

What I leanred the most in that experience is to trust my instincts on the looks I decide to create.  I often use a lot of other indie artists for my jewelry when styling so that they also can benefit from the photos as well.

For the Mavazi Collection Shoot I was was inspired by Eve @allaroundeve on instagram, her fabulous glasses and turbans and just over all styling was so vintiage and amazing to me. I wanted to create that look with this collection.

I enjoyed not having to worry about my hair this time around but also picking out frames for each piece.

In this look I kept it simple but with texture and details. This dress is so simple and beauitiful with its rich colors, I knew a royal blue head wrap and shoes would bring out the Epic Bloom flowers in the print, one of which is royal blue. I decided to go with a clear glass frame since the color of the dress was so bold.  Now for a bag, this cute little bag was so funky and vintage in shape. I got it from Claire's Accessories for a mere $16 dollars!  The color the shape and funky little face on the front of the bag was the perfect touch to complete this look.

Moral of the story keep  your styling simple and representative of your personality and it will never let you down.

Happy Styling Li Li Girls!
